GRAND SLAM: Wood has competed in 15 grand slam events and is 30th in earnings ($11,122.50). Wood was fourth with Marla O'Hara at the 1997 U. S. Opens. Wood finished seventh in the Nationals with Wendy Fletcher in 1996 and with Monique Oliver in 1997. Wood and O'Hara were 10th in the 1995 Best of the Beach. PERSONAL: Wood's parents are Kevin and Carol Wood. Wood has a sister (Christi). Wood has played professional volleyball in Europe. Her grandfather (Gerry Dennerlein) was an all-pro tackle for the New York football Giants from 1936-40. Her hobbies are dancing, tennis and studying foreign languages.
