GRAND SLAM: Rock has competed in 22 grand slam events and is 10th in earnings ($56,046.50), including 13 final four finishes. Rock teamed with Silva to win the 1992 U. S. Open in sudden death. Rock and Rita Crockett were second in the 1990 Nationals. Rock and Kirby placed second (1992) and third (1991) in Shootouts, and thirds in the 1995 and 1996 Best of the Beach.
WPVA CAREER: Rock is third in earnings ($254,459). Rock has 62 final four appearances, including 21 wins, and 16 seconds, 11 thirds and 14 fourths. Rock was voted the tour's best hitter in 1991. Rock won the 1992, 1995 and 1996 "Silver Bullet" ace awards.
FIVB: Rock has four seconds internationally. Rock, 14th in career earnings ($96,800), was sixth in the 1996 bonus pool.

COLLEGE: Rock graduated from San Diego State University where she competed in volleyball (1981-84) and track (javelin, 160-feet, four inches). Rock was a first-team All-American in 1984 and played on "final four teams in 1981 and 1982. Rock was inducted into the San Diego State University Hall of Fame in 1991.
AMATEUR: Rock was a member of the 1988 U. S. Olympic, 1987 Pan American (bronze medal) and 1986 World Championship teams. Rock was a member of the U. S. National Team from 1985 through 1989.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rock competed in volleyball, basketball, softball and track at El Toro. Rock was all-league in volleyball, basketball and softball, and competed in the state track meet.
PERSONAL: Rock's parents are Fred Rock and Janet Podel. Rock has four brothers (Dan, Ken, Ed and Rick) and two sisters (Sandy and Brenda). Rock has been a firefighter in San Diego. One brother (Dan) is an ironman triathlon competitor and another brother (Rick) is a pro-surfboard shaper. Her hobbies are surfing, golf and reading. She is currently serving her second year on the WPVA board.
