Atkinson has completed in nine grand slam events and is 40th in earnings ($2,812.50). Atkinson's best finishes were in 1994 with a sixth with Janice Harrer at the Best of the Beach, and ninths with Danalee Bragado at the Nationals and Mary Holland in the U. S. Open.

WPVA Career:

Atkinson is 40th in earnings ($13,887.50). Her best finishes are fifths with Heather Hafner in Puerto Rico and Bragado in Pismo Beach in 1994, and with Harrer in 1995 at Pismo.

FIVB:

Atkinson placed ninth in the 1995 Hermosa Beach qualifier with Lisa Gathright.

Partnerships:

Atkinson has competed in 47 events with 20 different partners, including nine stops with Pat Keller, five each with Chris Miller, Bragado and Harrer, four with Helen Reale, three with Valinda Hilleary, two each with Ali Wood and Shannon Vessup- Millen, and one each with Alison Johnson, Mary Allison, Gayle Stammer, Robin Enciso, Angela Rock, Beth Engman, Maggie Paes, Hafner, Evelyn Conley, Marie Andersson, Holland and Gathright.

College:

Atkinson attended California State University at Fullerton and the University of California at Irvine. She played volleyball at both schools.

High School:

Atkinson lettered volleyball, track and softball at Dana Hills.

Personal:

Her parents are Jack and Pauline Stokes. Atkinson has a brother (Jon) and two sisters (Kelly and Kim). She married Don Atkinson May 4, 1986 in Capistrano Beach, Calif. The Atkinsons have a son (Alexander) and twin (Kelsey and Kagen). The Atkinson run a video/photography business in San Juan Capistrano. Her hobbies are remodeling, reading and gardening.
