Grand Slams:

Forsythe is third in earnings ($57,846.50) while competing in a record 26 grand slam events, including wins at the Shootout and U. S. Open in 1991 with Gail Castro, and the Best of the Beach in 1994 with Barbra Fontana Harris. Forsythe is only player to compete in every grand slam event. Forsythe has 16 top four finishes, including three wins, five seconds, four thirds and four fourths. Forsythe and Castro won the 1991 shootout with a perfect 8-0 record to become the first team (men or women) to go through a shootout undefeated.

WPVA Career:

Forsythe is fourth in earnings ($188,599.88). Forsythe has advanced to tournament finals fours 66 times, including 34 with Castro (a WPVA record for a team). In addition to seven tour wins, Forsythe has posted 18 seconds, 22 thirds and 19 fourths.

Partnerships:

Forsythe has competed in 121 team events with five different partners, including 72 stops with Castro, 35 with Barbara Fontana Harris, nine with Jeanne Goldsmith, three with Rita Crockett and one with Angela Rock. Forsythe and Castro played in 73 (69 straight tournaments) events together for the longest partnership in WPVA history. Forsythe competed in the Top of the Tours with Castro, Deb Richardson and Roque twice, and Liz Masakayan, Fontana Harris and Stammer once.

FIVB:

Forsythe and Fontana Harris placed third and fourth in the 1994 and 1995 FIVB bonus pool, respectively. Forsythe and Fontana Harris won the 1994 Japan event and earned the Goodwill Games Bronze Medal. Forsythe is eighth in career international earnings ($62,875).

College:

Forsythe is a 1981 graduate from the University of California at Riverside where she competed in both volleyball and basketball. UCR won the 1977 Women's Volleyball championship.

High School:

Forsythe competed in volleyball, basketball and softball at San Bernardino.

Personal:

Forsythe parents are Jerry Cape and Arlene Booth. She has two brothers (Paul and David) and one sister (Sherry). She was married in October, 1993 to Bill Forsythe, a San Diego-area fire-fighter. Her hobbies are gardening and back packing.
