Kathy Gedney in 1994 at New Orleans.
Partnerships:
Miller has competed in nine events with five partners, including
three stops with Gedney, two each with Nancy Brookhart and Mary
McDowell, and one each with Sue Parry and Michele Westbeld.
College:
Miller played volleyball at both Penn State (1982-83) and Kentucky
(1984-86). She earned Southeastern Conference all-academic honors
at Kentucky. Miller also played basketball at Kentucky.
High School:
Miller competed in volleyball, basketball and track at Medina. She
earned all-league honors in volleyball and basketball, and was the
county's top player in both sports. She was an all-state basketball
player.
Personal:
Miller's parents are Rod Miller and Marilyn Lahiff. She has four
brothers (Chuck, Matt, Pat and Buck) and a sister (Erika). Her great-
grandfather (Frank Mills) played with the Cleveland Indians and her
grandfather (Jack Mills) played basketball with the Youngstown Bears.
Her brother (Chuck) played basketball at Akron. Miller has worked as
a sales representative with the Cleveland Indians.
