No copies, reproductions or plagiarism. Artwork becomes the property of CBVA and will not be returned.
Submit your design on one 8 1/2 x11 sheet of paper. Include your name, address and phone number on the back of the paper or in an area away from the logo. Create a 2-dimensional drawing sketch or computer generated design which exemplifies the spirit and attitude of beach volleyball in California Limit your design to three colors Logo must include the words California Beach Volleyball Association or the letters CBVA and a visual element. Different fonts and type faces may be used.
To enter, simply submit your designs on an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of paper along with your full name, address and phone number. Entries should meet specifications listed above, You may enter as often as your like. All entries must be postmarked no later than February 15, 1996. Entries received after that date will not be considered. All entries become the property of the CBVA and will not be returned. CBVA assumes no responsibility for lost, illegible, mutilated, late, or misdirected entries or those with inadequate postage, all of which will be void. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges selected by CBVA. The judges will consider creativity, the best fit to represent the CBVA and the ease with which it can reproduced on catalogues, on packages, and other printed materials. The judges decision will be final. The chances of winning are based on the number of entries. The winner will be notified by telephone and by mail on or before February 25, 1996. The winner's notice of acceptance of the prize must be returned to the CBVA within ten days of notification, along with a release granting to CBVA the right to use the winner's design for the logo. The winner may also be asked to allow CBVA to use his/her name or likeness for publicity purposes. The winner may permit this, but permission is not required in order to win the prize. If the winner is under 18 years old, the winner's parent or legal guardian will be required to sign a notice of acceptance of price and a release. The winner will receive $250 in cash and $250 worth of CBVA equipment based upon retail value. CBVA will also pay for shipping and handling charges for sending the prizes to the winner. All taxes are the responsibility of the prize winner. The contest is open to legal residents of the United States, its territories and dependencies. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. For the name of the winner, send a stamped, self addressed envelope to CBVA. Requests for winner's name must be received by March 1, 1996. Allow 4 weeks for delivery of the name. The contest will sponsored by the CBVA. By submitting an entry, participants agree to all of the terms and conditions of these rules. CBVA reserves the right to cancel and revoke this contest due to printing errors or other mistakes. These rules are final. The prizes awarded in this contest are non-transferable. As a condition of entering this contest, you agree that disputes connected with this contest or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually and exclusively by arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in California and all claims shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred.
