2004 FESTIVAL
New Things Happening at Volleyball Festival 2004 in Reno, Nevada:
Dates for Volleyball Festival 2004 will be June 26 through July 2, 2004
Opening Ceremony will be held at Mackay Stadium on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. A picnic will be available immediately following the ceremony. Updates will be forwarded to you as soon as plans are confirmed.
Volleyball Festival 2004 will provide competition for Age Groups 12's, 13's, 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's and 18's.
All teams from each Age Group will play in the same wave. There will be no choice in which wave your team will play. For example, all eighteen and under teams will play in one wave. The way the age groups will be assigned to waves will depend on the number of teams that register in the various age groups. The age groups playing in the AM wave will begin play at 8am each day unless otherwise notified. The age groups playing in the PM wave will begin play between 3pm and 4pm. These teams should check in early enough to find their court, warm-up or officiate. Exact time will be published as we finalize the format.
The 12's and the 13's tournaments will each be a four (4) day tournament beginning on Sunday, June 27 and ending on Wednesday, June 30. The finals in these two divisions will be held in the Reno Sparks Convention Center on the Championship Courts. The timing of these finals still needs to be arranged.
The 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's, and 18's will start play on Sunday, June 27 and will be completed on Friday, July 2, 2004.
The traditional fifth day will be on Thursday, July 1. The Championship Finals will be played at the Lawler Center on the University of Nevada, Reno Campus. The 7 vs. 8, 5 vs. 6, 3 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 matches will be held on the Courts at the Reno Sparks Convention Center on the morning of Thursday, July 1. Other play off matches may also be played on this day.
Divisional Championship play will be on Friday, July 2.
Competition will take place in all air-conditioned facilities at the addresses listed below plus two air-conditioned warehouses. The addresses of the warehouses will be determined at a later date. Each of these playing sites is within 4 miles of the Convention Center.
