FIVB MISSION STATEMENT

The FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) has the mission to govern and manage all forms of volleyball and beach volleyball world-wide, through planning, organising, marketing and promotional activities aimed at developing volleyball as a major world sport.

In cooperation with its 217 affiliate federations (as per 1998), the FIVB will achieve this mission through:

the staging of world class international events

the development of quality programmes and resources

the application of modern management principles

In all its activities, the FIVB will endeavour to provide equal opportunities and maximum enjoyment for the participants and spectators, maintaining the values of fair-play and peaceful involvement.
